The German-African Initiative for Development and Integration (GAIDI) gUG is a non-profit social organization dedicated to supporting newcomers from Africa\u2014whether refugees, asylum-seekers, students, or other migrants\u2014as they establish themselves in Germany. Since our inception in January 2023, we have been committed to creating pathways for successful integration, fostering community, and advocating for migrants' empowerment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our founder, Femi Awoniyi, a seasoned journalist, has dedicated his career to reporting on migration, integration and African diaspora life in Germany and Europe. As the publisher of The African Courier, Femi has gained deep insights into the common challenges faced by Africans in Germany and has used his platform to amplify their voices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An active member of the African community, Femi previously served as President of Nigerians in Diaspora Organisation Germany e.V. (2021\u20132023). He has consistently volunteered in integration support initiatives, most recently co-founding the \"Help for Africans from Ukraine in Germany\" (HAUG) initiative to aid Africans fleeing the conflict in Ukraine. With GAIDI, he brings together his wealth of experience and network to build sustainable programs that empower migrants.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
